My mother, the late Edith Alfreda LaSmith Cutting,

and my grandmother, the late Willie Alease Nibblins LaSmith were the inspirations for my books.  They were both women of great faith who devoted their lives in service to their families and communities. They served unselfishly and gave of all they had

to make another person’s day brighter.

This book is also dedicated to the many caregivers I have known who give of their time and energy so that others might experience a better quality of life

as a result of their faithfulness and acts of love.
